Options Employment (North) Ltd are currently looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to be based in Grangemouth. The Client My client is a leading contractor on infrastructure projects, focusing on the flood alleviation, highways, rail, remediation, telecommunications, renewable energy sectors and water. Their activities span the full range from design through to project implementation and aftercare. My client is a significant force in the public and regulated sectors. The Job The successful candidate will be responsible for the measurement and valuation of a series of packages (on site and from drawings), for valuations, variations and final accounts; Agreement of valuation dates and preparing, submitting and agreement of interim valuations in accordance with those dates; Procurement of specialist sub-contractors and assisting buying department in procurement of domestic sub-contractors; Preparation of financial reports. Reporting to: Managing Quantity Surveyor. Approach and Behaviour: To show a committed, enthusiastic approach that can be flexible to change. Experience: Similar post held previously. Previous management of teams and individuals. ICE & NEC Conditions of Contract. Qualifications: Preferred professional qualifications applicable to Quantity Surveying. Computer Skills: Good computer skills required in discipline and knowledge of e-mail and collaborative project working packages.
