Options Employment (North) Ltd are currently looking for a Setting Out Engineer in the Glasgow area. The Client URGENT Our Client is a leading construction and rail service company specialising Improvement, Infrastructure and Regeneration. They have over 40 years of experience in the successful delivery of projects in the fields of bulk earthworks, infrastructure, land reclamation and landfill engineering. The Job As Setting Out Engineer you will play an integral part of the team and have a good project background. In return, you are rewarded with a generous hourly rate with package. Duties will include: Setting out, surveying and site measurement of all kinds of site work. Implementing Quality Plans in accordance with the Company Quality Management System. Plan, select, cost and utilise the correct type and number of plant, transport and equipment in accordance with Company procedures. Maintaining site records Communication with designers to resolve design errors or unforeseen conditions. Supervision of work to ensure compliance by operatives and subcontractors of the Company Safety Management System. Recognise financial implications of decisions made by Engineer or others. Understand drawings and analyse Bills of Quantities to express the work to be undertaken by a series of trades. Knowledge and experience of recording and plotting field survey results and measuring physical dimensions and quantities. Ability to read drawings competently and to be able to extract relevant sections of the specification to ensure compliance. Experience in stock control, handling of materials on site and avoidance of waste.
